Attorney
Jessica Sherwood
Jessica Sherwood is a litigation specialist who represents plaintiffs, injured workers, and their families in Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation cases. Jessica began litigating early in her career while serving as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney prosecuting numerous jury trials in Circuit Court, as well as hundreds of bench trials in District and Circuit Court, in felony and misdemeanor cases. After leaving her role as a prosecutor, Jessica entered private practice and continued to hone her litigation skills in general civil litigation, criminal and family law. Jessica soon realized that her calling as a litigator was helping those who cannot obtain just results without the help for a lawyer. Realizing that injury victims often face unfair treatment from insurance companies in their time of greatest need, and decided to focus her litigation practice on representing the inured and their families in Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation cases.
Jessica is originally from Nebraska but now considers Virginia home. While in law school at Regent University, Jessica served as a clerk for the Center for Global Justice and competed on the Trial Advocacy Team, placing first at Stetson’s National Pretrial Competition. Jessica lives in Richmond with her husband and their dogs, Milo and Kiwi. When Jessica is not litigating in court, she enjoys road trips, gardening, and good eats.
